China Unveils "1+N" Policy Package to Boost Foreign Investment

China will introduce a "1+N" policy package to stabilize foreign investment, according to the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China. Foreign-funded firms contribute nearly 7% of urban jobs, one-seventh of tax revenue, and one-third of foreign trade. By the end of 2024, over 1.239 million foreign-invested enterprises had been established in China with $2.9 trillion in cumulative investment. These firms cover 115 industrial categories and play key roles in manufacturing upgrades and innovation ecosystems.
