China ranks among global leaders in valid artificial intelligence patents, the National Intellectual Property Administration announced. Official 2025 data shows the country holds 5.32 million valid invention patents domestically, with 16 high-value invention patents per 10,000 people. Chinese brand value reached $1.81 trillion, placing second worldwide, while patent-intensive industries contributed 13.38% to GDP. Major regional innovation clusters, including Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Guangzhou and Beijing, were recognized among the world’s top hubs, underscoring their strategic role in national intellectual property development.
