China's Leap | Hainan Free Trade Port Faces First Spring Rush Since Customs Closure

As China’s Spring Festival travel rush begins, Hainan Free Trade Port is experiencing its first major test following customs closure last December. The newly launched centralized inspection site in Haikou has streamlined freight clearance to as fast as 30 seconds per truck using non-intrusive scanning. Authorities expect over 4.66 million passenger trips and 1.17 million vehicles during the 40-day travel peak. Enhanced services, including round-the-clock driver facilities, streamlined procedures, and dedicated passenger channels, aim to ensure safe and efficient cross-strait transport throughout the festive period.(Photo/VCG)
