Spring Festival Highlights | 9.5 Billion Journeys: China's Spring Festival Travel Begins

With warm winter sunlight filling Beijing Chaoyang Station, the 2026 Spring Festival travel rush officially began.Running for 40 days from February 2 to March 13, this year's travel rush is fueled by an extended 9-day holiday. With the demand for both tourism and family reunions converging, cross-regional trips are expected to hit a record-breaking 9.5 billion. From volunteers assisting at gates to children clutching zodiac dolls at cultural markets, people embark on journeys of homecoming and trips.
