China's 2025 R&D spending topped 3.92 trillion yuan, hitting 2.8% of GDP, with basic research funding surpassing 7% for the first time, Minister of Science and Technology Yin Hejun announced at the "Ministerial Channel".As the country enters the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30), ministers from three key economic agencies focused on one theme: innovation.
