Century-Old Arcade Buildings Turn into Catwalk for Fashion Show in Shantou

The 2026 Shantou Fashion Week opened on March 16 at the city's historic Small Park, where century-old arcade buildings served as a unique runway. The show, themed "Threads of Heritage," featured four segments showcasing designs integrating Chaoshan traditions with modern fashion. Collections incorporated Chaoshan embroidery elements like dragon and phoenix motifs into contemporary silhouettes, while another series drew inspiration from local opera costumes.
