On May 24, a special exhibition of Ju culture opened at Juzhou Museum in Ju County, Rizhao, Shandong, China. Children visited the site and admired the large-mouthed pottery zun dating back 5,000 years, a relic of the Dawenkou Culture. Its ancient carvings, interpreted as patterns of sunrise, predate oracle bone inscriptions by more than 1,000 years and are vital for studying the origin of Chinese characters. Various research and learning activities were also held to help young people experience the splendor of ancient Chinese civilization.(Photo byKong Siqi/China Youth Daily)
